Wedding DJ Lancaster Pa – Rock Ford Plantation Military Wedding

posted on: May 21, 2018

Wedding DJ Lancaster Pa – Soundwaves Entertainment’s owner and Executive DJ Chris Pyle was the DJ for Michael and Kristen’s wedding in Lancaster, Pa. at the Historic Rock Ford Plantation. It was raining in the morning and Kristen and emailed me the rain plan the night before. Kristen really had her heart set on an outdoor ceremony in front of the mansion.  We had a window of opportunity as the rain stopped just before the the guests started arriving by bus.  After the ceremony the guests transitioned over to the tent and barn where they enjoyed an “Irish” cocktail hour with Irish songs that the bride and groom had chosen. After being introduced they went directly into their First Dance, then 3 toasts, blessing and dinner. We did the Parents dances after dinner and  cake cutting and then opened up the dance floor the rest of the evening. We’ve noticed that the trend for 2018 is that a lot of our couples are opting not to do the Dollar Dance and Bouquet and Garter toss. They want to just open up the dance floor after the Parents Dances and just let everybody dance and make some  memories on the dance floor. I think they just want to relax and enjoy the evening without having to worry about “extra formalities” .
